Global Dialogue Forum for Conference Interpreters

On 13-14 April International Interpreters Forum “Global Dialogue” brought together recognized experts of different areas, experienced professionals, representatives of translation agencies and end customers, teachers from various interpreting schools, students and young specialists. The Forum focused on a broad range of relevant professional issues: top level interpreting, diplomatic interpreting, intercultural communication, solo-interpreting, technical interpreting, specifics of oil and gas and medical interpreting, marketing and pricing. The Forum included several master-classes and lectures. It was a pleasure to meet old colleagues and make new contacts. See you at the II Forum next year!

Welcome Reception of LHW (Leading Hotels of the World) Association


On 11-12 April LHW (Leading Hotels of the World) club held a welcome reception where private clients and travel companies had an opportunity to meet and communicate with hoteliers from all over the world in a friendly unofficial atmosphere. The reception celebrated the 60th anniversary of LHW club. My colleagues and I provided consecutive interpreting for guests who did not speak English.

Master-class of an American screenwriter Paul Brown

Today I had a privilege to interpret the master-class of an American screenwriter from New York Film Academy Paul Brown at the 15th International exhibition of equipment, services and new technology for cinema production (CPS 2018). Paul Brown spoke about how to write a story that would engage a viewer and evoke empathy; what is needed to become a successful screenwriter, director, actor or producer. It was fascinating to learn about this creative world of film making and speak to this amazing professional, join in his energy, enthusiasm and love for his job.

International Forum “Active Longevity”, Moscow 2018

Today I interpreted simultaneously at the panel session on gerontology in the longevity focus on the International Forum “Active Longevity”, Moscow 2018. It was a very interesting, positive event. The Forum addressed new social initiatives, measures to improve long-term care for senior generation, setting up clubs, circles and sport centres specially for elderly people to encourage their active position, desire to live and learn something new.  The mayor of Moscow, Mr. Sergey Sobyanin visited the closing plenary session.
