Today I had the honour to interpret consecutively the meeting between the State Secretary – Deputy Minister of Transport Sergey Aristov with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of India to the RF Pankaj Saran. The parties discussed the development of the international transport corridor “North-South”; the details of the upcoming tri-partite meeting with Iranian colleagus on organizing transit shipments of Indian cargos through Iran to Russia; the possibility of arranging a business mission of Russian transport executives to India; the cooperation prospects in transport education and harmonization of the Draft Memorandum of understanding. It is always a pleasure, though a responsibility too, to interpret such protocol events, since first of all you feel that you are making a certain contribution to the history and secondly you are more likely to get the agenda, the list of participants and abstracts in advance, which considerably simplifies the preparation. I highly appreciate this opportunity the Minister of Transport gave me, already for the second time and I hope it was not the last.
