Today I visited Cosines – interpreters’ conference/contest. So many insights, lessons learned, thoughts and emotions! Dear organizers of the conference: thank you so much for a great idea and its remarkable implementation! Of course, this event had a special meaning for me since it was held among other venues in the 1st humanitarian building of the Lomonosov Moscow State University, in the same auditoriums I had lectures in whan I was a student. I listened to the lecture by Andrey Tsybenko, the former interpreter to the president of the RF Vladimir Putin and current Consul General in Casablanca, the lecture by Alexey Korolev on new technologies and equipment in conference interpreting, visited the master-class by Julia Poger, a professional conference interpreter and AIIC member, and the master-class by I.Zubenko on interpreter’s shorthand. At Julia Poger’s master-class I even was invited to the stage to read aloud an abstract from Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakеspearе.
